Setting up Your Audio Card

If you carefully read and follow these instructions, you should be able to install and enjoy the MidiTzer/GSO VTPO very quickly and easily.  If you get into a bind, reread and try again.  Never re-install your OS, audio card or GSO unless you are advised by an expert to do so.   See "PC and Audio System Recommendations".

Before attempting to install GSO, make sure you have a GSIF compatible audio card (M-Audio 1010LT highly recommended) installed and operational following the manufacturer’s instructions.

If you have wisely chosen the 1010LT, you will need to enable “Bass Management”.  Double click the M-Audio icon in your system tray (it is the one with a white “>” with a red background).  Click the “Bass Management” tab.  Select the “On” radio button under General Settings.  All bass for the remaining channels will be routed to output channel 4.  If you do not have the 1010LT, channel 4 will have no output
